Compare: Portugal vs Morocco
Why Morocco
Morocco is the closest proper surf trip for most of Europe: three to four hours on a budget flight, warm sun in winter, and a coast full of right-hand points that line up on the same North Atlantic swells that hit Portugal and Spain. Taghazout is the centre of it, with Imsouane, Essaouira and the quieter south a drive away.
