The wave

Banana Point is a right point at the river mouth in Aourir, named after the banana plantations behind it. It's a slower, softer wave than the Taghazout points, good for improvers and longboarders.

It's exposed to cross-shore wind, so mornings are usually cleaner. The current near the river can be strong. It's popular with surf schools from Tamraght and Aourir and gets busy on good days.
