The wave

Tiger Tracks, also called Kongs, is up where the G-Land reef bends into the bay. The lefts here are shorter and softer over deeper coral, and it's where most people get their first waves in camp.

It's still a reef wave in a national park two hours by boat from help, but the waves roll rather than throw, and intermediates with solid basics can enjoy it. On small swells it's often the only section working, and on big days it's the sensible choice.

The name comes from the tiger tracks people used to find around camp. There are still deer and peacocks in the Alas Purwo forest.
