The wave

Money Trees is the main section of G-Land, a left that runs for 300 metres or more down the Grajagan reef with barrels and open walls.

In the dry season the SE trades blow offshore all day, which is rare, and that makes G-Land one of the most consistent waves in Indonesia. 4-8ft of SW swell at mid tide is ideal. On bigger swells the best waves move down the reef toward Speedies.

You stay in a camp in the jungle, a short walk from the wave, and the lineup is whoever is in camp that week, usually 15 to 40 surfers. Bring a step-up and booties.
