The wave

Cofete is a huge, empty beach on the Jandía peninsula in the south of Fuerteventura, reached by a rough dirt track through the natural park, with mountains behind it.

It holds big, powerful surf, but the currents and shorebreak are strong and help is far away. It's not a beginner beach, whatever the size. Bring fuel, water and food.
