A dramatic, less-visited cove on the wild northern side of the Crozon Peninsula, with rock formations and sea caves that rank among Brittany's most photographed coastal scenery. Anse de Dinan breaks over a rockier, more textured seabed than the open sand of La Palue nearby, giving a more variable, exploratory kind of wave.

Its exposure catches swell from a slightly different angle than the peninsula's south-facing spots, making it a useful option to check when the wind or swell direction disfavours La Palue. The setting alone, sheer rock stacks rising from the water, makes even a modest session here memorable.

Come on a clean swell with favourable wind, and treat the rockier bottom with more caution than a straightforward beach break. Best suited to surfers comfortable reading an unfamiliar setup rather than a first-timer's beach.

Its proximity to Brest makes it a genuine local's wave, surfed daily by the city's surfers rather than chased by travellers, and the bay's shelter helps it stay rideable in a wider range of wind conditions than the more exposed peninsula breaks.
