The wave

A classic point type left near Caleta de Cabello, on the north side of La Isleta, offering deeper, more enjoyable rides than the shorter reef slabs nearby. Morro Negro breaks over volcanic rock in free, easy-to-read walls when a swell of the right size and direction shows up.

It requires a specific combination of conditions to work at its best, less consistent than El Quemao but more approachable when it does fire. Come on the right swell angle, and expect a knowledgeable local crew who track this spot closely.
